The exhibition presents the variations that has occurred in terms of purpose and backgorund
information of the design, types of fabrics used, the choice of colours and patterns, the reflection of societies and cultures and the influence of each fashion era on later eras in history.

The exhibition aims to give an insight into the fashion industry and history, inspirtaions for the designers and a strong base of knowledge and understanding to build on. The exhibition also offers something to think about through out its various phases, that is the importance of fashion in socities and as iconography of civilizations and cultures, using fashion as a tool of expression for political and social events, the role of fashion nowadays, is it a mere expression of beauty, a popular style, a way to express individual identity, or is it serving a certain cause and a reflection of surrounding events taking place.
The exhibition starts at the room with the shape of a rectangle that includes the four civilizations of the Ancient World, Egypt, China, India and Rome, where each corner will be featuring clothes from each civilization. The second room, has a bit of a wavy shape representing the suppression, harsh circumstance of political and social life during the Medievel era, Renaissance, 18th and 19th century clothing, where fashion variations were an expression of social levels, influence of politics and how women’s bodies were perceived, and contains models with picked clothes from these different eras. The third room is an oval shape featuring the 1900s fashion trends and their influence on the 2000s trends where fashion is believed to have made a complete cycle. The fourth and last room is designers’ concepts about the future of fashion, its fabrics and the integration of technology within it.
